The future is far: Earth 12 million years

Description

12 million years after humanity leaves the Earth, there was a slight change in global temperatures caused by the light continental movements and the atmospheric composition, however, with the permanence of Antarctica at the South Pole, and the continued growth of the Himalayas, it keeps the planet in the ice ages, a little less severe than during the early Quaternary.

South America, the peninsula of California, and Aaru (Egyptian name of the "paradise", give to the new continent that emerged from the split of the rifth Valley) have been isolated. Part of the antarctic regions and Greenland has melted, causing increased sea level between 10 to 13 meter.

The Mediterranean sea has dried, partly consumed by the the Sahara desert, but for the few rives which have managed to cross to some nearby areas of the European side, it has formed vast prairies.

I like your map of 12 Million years in the future. It would be nice to speculate what kind of interesting fauna might live in this future world.
